Cecilia featured a local business in a news spot that was aired on FOX61 CT and nominated for the FOX61 Student News Award, a statewide competition. The video is also featured in advertisements on FOX61’s website.

Aired on FOX61 multiple times, this video featured a local restaurant and its impact on the community of Farmington, CT.
Crushed
2022
After several months of planning, writing, and exchanging feedback, Cecilia produced her first short film. It was shown at Real Art Ways Independent Cinema as part of their Eye on Video apprenticeship program.
Hill-Stead Museum
2023
Cecilia interviewed museum curators in her town to learn more about The Hill-Stead Museum. Known for its sunken garden and impressionist art, the museum recently changed exhibitions and Cecilia learned all about it.
Farmington CT High School Building Construction Update

As part of her student news program, Cecilia researched and produced a video to spotlight and summarize the work that has been done on a nearby building project. She shoots monthly updates for the school.

Upon applying for an apprenticeship at Real Art Ways Independent Cinema, Cecilia edited and produced a short self portrait. The theme was: “Connection”.
About
As a Farmington High School student (FHS), I have taken and thoroughly enjoyed all Digital Photo classes offered at my school. In these classes, I learned about different camera skills and Photoshop editing techniques. As Broadcast and Media Coordinator of The 9:05 News, a weekly news production that works alongside the FHS newspaper, The Voice, I have gained essential experience in both videography and news writing. In addition, this role has helped me develop management skills that have helped me outside of my school life. Whether it be communicating deadlines, shooting videos, or writing articles – working with a group of people to produce a professional and interesting show about diverse topics has definitely helped me become a better leader. Several of my news videos have been nominated for FOX 61 Student News Awards and my short film, Crushed, was shown at Real Art Ways Cinema in Hartford.
